A nursing home in Buffalo Grove, IL is going to scrap some old fashioned, crank style hospital beds. They are going to throw them away, and I think someone could use them. The trick is to find out who wants them, and how to get them there. Chicago Metro area only please, I cannot afford to ship these.

I’m planning on redecorating my room in April. I have a $700 budget, because I already have the main furniture like bed dresser and the such. But what are some easy ways to make my room crisp and clean like Massie’s (from the Clique series) while stilling making it my own style.
Some of my favorite hobbies and things I enjoy are

Her room is white and minimalist( means she likes clean lines and 90 degree angles) try it like that and not a whole lot of clutter out or pic’s or school books, and just one big item that is a solid lux color.

Hello

I know this sounds pathetic that im thinking about my hair when i have a amazing little baby on the way but i would love a hairstyle that can be done in 5 mins and still look nice i dont want to end up scrapping it back everyday and looking like a scummy mummy.
At the moment i have long brown hair and it just look life less any advice would really help me here is a picture so u have an idea

One of my FAVORITE skirts is made of that super thin cotton that they make into peasant style tops and skirts.
It got a rip the other day. The problem is that the fabric is SUPER thin. I have NO scraps of the fabric to work with…I bought the skirt, so no scraps.
Anyone got any tips on how to fix the rip to make it as invisible as possible?

You can get these iron on patches that are thin and solid colors. You turn the skirt inside out, cut a piece of iron on patch a bit larger than the rip, lay the skirt on the ironing board, carefully meeting up the torn parts. Then, place the iron on patch, glue side down onto the tear and heat with the iron until it adheres to the fabric well.
It is a good idea to trim the patch with rounded corners, too, so the edges don’t catch on things and pull the patch off at the corners.

We are living in a basement suite and are being run out by tones of ants. There has been about six large heavy rainfalls in the area in the past month and high heat periods between them and with each the ants seam to get worse. Everything I have done seams to increase rather then decrease the number of ants. We have a newborn daughter and therefore would like a chemical free solution if possible. So far i have made my SO become much cleaner and no food (not a single scrap) is being left left any where for them to get at. We have also layed the little tin style ant traps outside but this only seamed to make the number of ants inside grow. PLEASE help I am at my wits end and well it is funny watching DSO chase ants with a spray bottle of vinegar and water it really isnt doing any good.

Sprinkle borax around the perimeter outside. They won’t cross the line. You can buy it in the aisle with the clothes detergent. I think the brand name is 20 mule team or 40 mule team, or something similar.
